Hello everyone,

I have just been given some details about a big Anno Party being planned for Anno fans! The party is to be August 11, 2007, near Frankfurt.

Overnight stay is booked in a youth hostel, that's cheaper for the young members, students and so on.
There are also some good hotels around.

Partytime Saturday in Castle Ronneburg

Around 3 pm it will start with a sightseeing tour through the castle museum for an hour or so.
After that Party goers will go to into the Knight's Hall of the Restaurant Burg Ronneburg and have a great and funny meal (middleage like)
eating with fingers and knifes only, like the knights did.
There will be some little show during the meal.

It would be a good opportunity to meet other Annoists and put a face on the people you know from the forum! :go:

Aww! I wish I could go. But with my limited budget and knowlage of the German language, I don't think it would work out very well..

I plan on going if I can swing it financially, and I don't speak any German! I have enough Anno friends there that speak English, that can help me with the language barrier! :go:

As you can see..a lot of people here speak English..maybe not fluently, but communication with hands and gestures is always possible :wink:

What is that you say? You think one of the biggest Annoholic's in the USA would not be interested in coming! I have been wanting to come to Germany for several years and meet a lot of the friends I have made through my involvement with Anno. This event is the best way to meet the most people!

Castle event and youth hostel cost, how much and when due? I guess that would be good to have listed here, in case anyone else is interested!

including the meal and museum entry
drinks are extra

1 night in youth hostel + castle event = 51,00 €
including bus transfer to the castle
arrival on saturday before 2 pm
depart on sunday until 9:30 am

2 nights in youth hostel + castle event = 74,00 €
including bus transfer to the castle
arrival on friday from 4:30 pm
depart on sunday until 9:30 am

Everyone will get a laminated ticket

Hmm that is like 150 for the whole thing, give or take with the transaction from dollars to euro. I could afford it (Superbowl winnigns last year = $3,000). But the cost for air fare would be sothing like $300-$1,200! My german teacher was talking about it in friday. Was one of the only classes I was awake--they had bratwurst and kassebrot. Food gets me going.
