Hello.
I am playing in Continuous Play and have selected the biggest world and islands settings but my main island is never big enough. I mean after several new games i have found one a bit bigger, which is enough for my main goal - to reach independence, but i need more space to build a huge and i mean huge castle and its surroundings. Eye candy stuff and other things that will look nice. But i need a lot more flat space.

My question is: Is there a map that have great island or a map which is mostly land instead of water? Is there a way that i can have a huge piece of land for my main city?

You'll have to build and/or move your on-island production to other islands and then ship it to your city. Unless you have a Versailles Complex, that should free up enough room for a big castle.

See pic below. I'm the yellow islands. Settings are: medium island world/large islands. normal/standard game, without pirates but with fire/plague/disasters on. I only chose 2 AI's so there might be a production island or 2 to settle. Things worked out good with just the 4 islands i had.

Yes i have done that. Maybe i should optimize a bit more.

I think that i saw somewhere that there will be addon which will allow custom maps building? Can i create big land island with it? I hope i will be able if i cant find any bigger land in the game maps...

I believe the editor to be included in the expansion is to be a map editor only, which means it will allow you to choose from a preset selection of islands. My understanding is there is not to be an island editor, which is what you would need to create your own islands for the game.

There were 3 different editor's used in developing the game, they have adapted one of those editor's to be user friendly so we can navigate it and are releasing only that user friendly editor to the public in the expansion!

Most of the islands seemed to be predefined and are seen from one map to the next. I doubt the editor will let us manipulate the islands themselves.
